Corporate Event Planning - the key to a successful event

The old adage "measure twice, cut once" applies to event planning as well. Without proper event planning, even the most creative idea can be poorly executed.

Proper event planning requires foresight, experience and flexibility to meet clients expectations. At Cor-Events, we keep a keen oversight of the corporate event planning process so as to ensure we are meeting our client requests as well as keeping an eye on the bottom line.

Cor-Events covers all aspects of pre-, during and post event planning. Below are some of the general questions we ask during each phase of the process:

Pre Event Planning

  • What is the purpose of the corporate event? Motivational, social, educational, recruitment, other?
  • What is the target audience?
  • What kind of setup is needed?
  • What event marketing will be required to maximize attendance?
  • Are internal teams and committees formed and functioning?

During event

  • Has on-site event team arrived 90 minutes prior to start and setup been checked twice?
  • Registration table staffed and provisioned?
  • Any issues require escalation?
  • All invoices and receipts being tracked?

Post event planning

  • Have surveys and thank you letters been sent out?
  • All bills have been paid?
  • Has there been a review with stakeholders to discuss how event went and to gather feedback for future improvement?
